At BIG Sister Society, we aim to empower women, youth to enrich their social welfare in light of GBV and other social ills within Botswana community and beyond. Our initiatives and activities are designed to catalyze true transformation for and on women. But above all, passion and empowerment is at the heart and soul of everything that we do.

Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started our work in 2021, we understood that by working together we could overcome our nation’s social challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch the BIG Sister Society. Volunteering

The Volunteering program is our longest running initiative, based on the premise that making a real difference is not only possible but vital. At BIG Sister Society, Volunteering is a source of great pride for our Social Service movement .Our founder having volunteered on youth and social development advocacy for 17 years.

Feeling like there are many women leaders making effective and sustainable change in their spaces but not much recognition is made for their efforts ? Our Women Leaders Spotlight initiative has proven to be a powerful tool for BIG Sister Society to successfully serve our community and recognize lives that has seen the most and are incredibly making change !

GBV Victims Referrals

Because gender based violence is a sensitive and highly personal issue that needs trained experts on the matter to help victims as compared to advocating against it -We have successfully referred 50 GBV victims since our inception in March 2021.
